Harry Alexander is a failing art student with a family legacy weighing heavily on his shoulders. Every member of the Great Alexanders has been a musical, literary or artistic success. Harry will do anything to be one of them.

When he receives the key to a mysterious storage unit, he stumbles upon the the source of his family’s success: a muse. This supernatural being trapped in oil and canvas steps into Harry’s life in the form of a handsome young man and helps further his career. But as the pair grow closer and Harry enjoys artistic recognition, he is forced to confront the true cost of inspiration and his muse’s dark and bloody origin.
